Photography Competition
2007 saw the first MVCP photography competition along the River Medway and there were some stunning entries.
In 2008 Medway Valley Countryside Partnership, Valley of Visions Landscape Partnership Scheme and the Medway Swale Estuary Partnership worked together to run the photography competition along the length of the Medway Valley.
In 2009/2010, due to the number of entries in previous years, the competition has changed and is now being delivered entirely online via its own website www.rivermedwayphoto.org
Digital photos can be uploaded direct to the website and all the entered photographs will be on display on the website for all to see until after judging takes place. Therefore, even if you don't win, the website gives people the opportunity to display their beautiful images of the landscapes, towns and villages and wildlife along the River Medway from Tonbridge up to Rochester Bridge.
If you are one of the lucky winners you'll get your category winning photo put on canvas as a wonderful keepsake and also the overall winners (over and under 18's) will get to go out with professional wildlife photographer Terry Whittaker for a day where you'll be able to learn loads of helpful hints to improve your hobby.
Despite the great prizes up for grabs the competition is a great way to get out and about along the river taking photo's, so why delay.
Competition closing date is Friday 30th April 2010. See website for all guidelines and to register and enter: www.rivermedwayphoto.org
